Chair of the Board of Directors of BAnQ

Chair of the Board of Directors since March 16, 2022 (until March 15, 2027).

BAnQ (Bibliothèque et archives nationales du Québec) is a Quebec public institution whose mission is to collect, preserve, and disseminate Quebec’s documentary heritage, while providing the public with free access to knowledge, culture, and information.

It is the central repository for Quebec’s collective memory and a major player in the democratization of knowledge and culture.

Chair of the Board of Directors of Érudit since 2016.

Érudit is a Canadian digital platform dedicated to disseminating research in the humanities, social sciences and in other fields . It is now the leading digital publishing infrastructure for French-language scholarly journals in North America and a key player in open access and open science.

Based in Montreal, Érudit is an inter-university initiative led by the Université de Montréal, Université Laval, and the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). It provides access to a vast collection of scientific publications, including journal articles, books, conference proceedings, and theses.

Member of the IRIC Board of Directors

IRIC (Institut de recherche en immunologie et en cancérologie de l’Université de Montréal) is a leading-edge research and training center specializing in the study of cancer and the immune system. Founded in 2003, IRIC is located on the campus of the University of Montreal and brings together world-class researchers, high-level technology platforms and a multidisciplinary environment unique in Canada under one roof.

Its mission is twofold: to understand the fundamental mechanisms of cancer and to accelerate the discovery of new treatments, in particular through an integrated approach to basic and translational research.

The RUISSS at the University of Montreal (Integrated University Health and Social Services Network) is a coordination and collaboration structure that connects the University of Montreal to a large portion of Quebec’s health and social services network..

The RUISSS aims to promote the integration of care, teaching, research, and evaluation across a vast territory served by several health institutions, including CIUSSS, CISSS, hospitals, and affiliated clinics.

SSHRC (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada) is a Canadian federal funding agency that supports research and training in the social sciences and humanities. It plays a vital role in advancing knowledge about human societies, cultures, behaviors, institutions, and contemporary social issues.

Established in 1977, SSHRC funds thousands of research projects, graduate student scholarships, and interdisciplinary and intersectoral collaborative initiatives across Canada each year.

Member of the FRQSC Board of Directors

Member of the FRQSC Board of Directors (2012-2015).

The FRQSC (Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture) is one of three research funds administered by the Quebec government. Its mission is to support and promote research in the humanities, social sciences, arts, and culture, while contributing to Quebec’s social, cultural, and economic development.

Under the authority of the Ministry of Higher Education, the FRQSC supports basic and applied research, promotes the training of the next generation of researchers, and encourages partnerships between universities, government, community, and arts organizations.

ACFAS (Association francophone pour le savoir) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting research and scientific culture in French. Today, it is a major player in the French-speaking scientific community in Canada, playing a central role in promoting science, knowledge, and researchers in all disciplines.

Its mandate is to support the dissemination, influence, and recognition of French-language research, particularly in Quebec and in French-Canada, while fostering links between academic, government, community, economic sectors and citizens.

Vice President of the Jacques Cartier Center

Vice President of the Jacques Cartier Center (2021-2024).

The Centre Jacques Cartier is an international cooperation organization and think tank founded in 1984, whose mission is to promote exchanges and collaboration between France (particularly the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region) and Quebec, as well as the French-speaking world more broadly. At the crossroads of the academic, institutional, economic, and cultural worlds, the Centre acts as a bridge between knowledge, ideas, and territories.

Its mission is to stimulate interdisciplinary dialogue on major contemporary issues—innovation, science, sustainable development, culture, the economy and education—by creating spaces for researchers, entrepreneurs, decision-makers, and civil society actors to meet.
