Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, François-Philippe Champagne and Minister of Health, Jean-Yves Duclos mandated a panel of seven experts, presided by Frédéric Bouchard, to provide advice on how the Government of Canada can modernize the federal system supporting research to maximize the impact of investments and position Canadian researchers for success.
The panel’s work began October 2022 and was presented to the ministers January 2023. The full report was made public March 20 2023.
